Q.  Where can I buy the Easyloss apps for Apple products?

Q. HI, I was just wondering if there was a certain amount of time you should listen to each session? e.g Session 1 for 7 days, session 2 for 7 days etc or should you listen to all 3 sessions & then refresh?

A. You should listen to your part one recording at least once a day for a minimum of 2 weeks, Beginning on day one through to day 14, and have achieved a minimum weight loss of 2 lbs before moving on to part 2. If, after listening to part one for two weeks, you have not achieved a weight loss of at least 2 lbs then you should continue to listen to part one at least once a day until that minimum 2 lb weight loss has been achieved.  It is important for your success that you do not move on to part 2 until you have lost at least 2 lbs and have listened to part one for at least 2 weeks.

You should listen to your part two recording at least once a day for a minimum of 2 weeks beginning on day 15 through to day 27, and have achieved a minimum weight loss of 8 lbs before moving on to part 3, surgery day . If, after listening to part 2 for two weeks, you have not achieved a weight loss of at least 8 lbs then you should continue to listen to part 2 at least once a day until that minimum total 8 lb weight loss has been achieved.  It is important for your success that you do not move on to part 3 until you have lost at least 8 lbs in total and have listened to part 2 for at least 2 weeks.

You should listen to part 3 at least once a day for 7 days or every other day for 2 weeks beginning on day 28.

Once you have listened to part 3, your surgery recording, at least once a day for 7 days or every other day for 2 weeks you can move on to part 4, Your post op recording.  You should listen to your post op recording at least once a day for the next 6 weeks then any time you wish after that.

Q. Just need to check that the Facebook group will stay private and not show on my Facebook for my friend list to see?

 A. It’s a closed group…this means only people who join it can see your posts…it doesn’t go on your fb page for friends to see…unless they are members of the group too!

 Q.  Is it ok to follow the Easyloss Virtual Gastric Band Surgery Programme when you are pregnant?

A. It is not advised to use the hypnosis during the first and last trimester of your pregnancy. We dont use any hypnosis at all with weight loss clients who are pregnant if they come to see us in person. Just follow the rest of the guidelines but leave the hypnosis sessions until after your baby is born.

Q. You say that you must leave something on your plate after every meal. Which at the moment I am able to do, but what about the time when you get your portion size absolutely right and eat everything on your plate and feel comfortable. Is this ok?

A.  It is important to always leave something on your plate at every meal to help with changing the habit of always clearing your plate and feeling bad if you don’t. Once your portion size is adjusted, then just leave the last couple of peas or a chip and that will be fine.

Q. Do I have to drink plain water?

A. Not all the time! For best results for both your health and your weight loss, drinking 6 – 8 glasses of water a day would be preferable.  If you prefer to add a little flavouring then make sure that you keep the flavouring it as additive free as possible.  Adding a slice of lemon or lime can make it more enjoyable and hot water with a slice of lemon is also a good choice. Green tea is another good option.

Q. Does it matter what time of day I listen?

A. Just choose a time when you can relax for the duration of the hypnosis recording without being disturbed. If your attention is needed at any time during your hypnosis session you will be easily able to open your eyes and attend to whatever it is without any problems.

Q. Will it still work if I fall asleep while listening to the hypnosis?

A. Yes the hypnosis will be effective if you fall asleep while listen to the hypnosis as the unconscious mind is ‘listening’ all the time.


Q. Quick question – and I know the answer is probably on the app but can’t find it – do you only listen to session 3 (the operation) once and then move onto the post op session. 

A. You should listen to part 3, your surgery session at least once a day for 7 days or every other day for 2 weeks, beginning on day 28. Once you have listened to part 3, your surgery recording, at least once a day for 7 days or every other day for 2 weeks you can move on to part 4, Your Post Op recording.  You should listen to your Post Op recording at least once a day for the next 6 weeks then any time you wish after that.


Q. I have just purchased the above in an endeavour to control my large appetite. As I have already lost quite a bit of weight (with difficulty!) do I still need to lose the 2lb and 8lb before I can move onto the 3rd session? Or can I just listen to the first 2 sessions a couple of times and move on? I’d be grateful to hear your advice. Thanks

A. For best results from using your Easyloss Virtual Gastric Band Surgery App we always recommend that you start the programme from the beginning and follow it as instructed, using all the additional guidelines and aids provided with you app.  Think of it as you would a jigsaw puzzle…if you do not put all the pieces in, you will not get a complete picture. Q.  What stops me moving to session 2 after 3 days?

A. Please refer to the answer given to the previous question on this page.

Q.  I’m doing really well in controlling what I eat but alcohol is a real problem for me.  What can I do?

A. It’s great to hear that you are more in control of your food. With regards to the alcohol, you need to be aware that any alcohol is very high in calories with no nutritional value so it does have a big effect on any weight loss programme. Treat alcohol in exactly the same way that you treat food. Ask yourself, ‘will drinking this take me closer to my goal of losing weight or further away?’  If it is not going to help then just tell yourself that you will choose a healthier alternative for now. Q. Do I need to listen to the whole of session 1, can I move to the countdown stage?

A.  The relaxation induction before the suggestion in your recording is there to help you to relax as much as possible and to prepare your unconscious mind to be receptive to the positive suggestions.  Wherever possible please listen to the whole recording for maximum benefit.


Q. I’ve now lost 17 & 1/2 pounds – a result that I am very pleased with; albeit a very small step of my Weight loss journey (I am 10 stones overweight) but now I need some advice please.

I unfortunately left my phone at work over the weekend (and do you know my life surprisingly didn’t stop?!!) so I want to know what you would advise I do now.

I had completed the full course and listened to the surgery session for 7 consecutive nights. I was very pleased that I was able to continue with eating less over the weekend on my own but not sure I’ve conquered my eating habits in just 5 weeks, though of course I do believe something is working at a much deeper level for me.

So what happens now – do I listen again to session 3 or start again and follow the same procedure? (i.e. session 1 for a min 2 weeks ‘til I’ve lost 2lbs and on to session 2 for another 2 weeks ‘til I’ve lost 8lbs etc – or will I undo your good work if I go back to the beginning again?

A.  First of all, huge congratulations on your achievement so far. You must be feeling very proud of yourself!

The most important thing to do now is to keep following the guidelines. You can continue to listen to any of the sessions at any time but you will
probably find that you actually feel very motivated to continue to keep on
track by using the guidelines and the other aids to changing your habits
that are included in the app.

Q. When I do the hypnosis sessions, I always find myself a little reluctant when it comes to the ‘left or right button’ choice as I perhaps don’t really want to let go of the nice comforts in food & drink that would come with the left button?? Any tips for dealing with this?

A. The thing to remember here is that you are not being asked to give up or ‘let go’ of any foods, just to make healthier choices.  Both the Guidelines and the hypnosis reinforce the idea that no foods are forbidden or not allowed, just that some foods are healthier than others.  The change in the way you manage your thoughts and emotions around the less healthy foods make it easier for you to make a healthy choice and feel really good about doing so.


Q.  End of the first week and I’ve lost 4lbs, happy with that. I do though have real trouble getting totally relaxed during the hypnosis sessions. I find it hard to switch off as I’m constantly thinking of things that have to be done, work etc etc. I do get into some form of relaxation but only for a very short period of time. So I don’t think I am getting the maximum benefit from these sessions. Has/does anyone else have this problem?

A.  You don’t actually need to be relaxed to benefit completely from hypnosis.  It’s just an added benefit that some people experience.  I think four pound in your first week sounds like you are most DEFINITELY getting great benefit from the app!


Q. The easiest time for me to do this is before bed, but listening last night I had to wake up; I would prefer to just drop off to sleep. Will this be ok?

A.  That’s fine. You can listen to the bedtime version from day2 onwards if you prefer.


Q. Will I be able to work out the day of the virtual gastric bypass surgery?

A. There are no side effects or after effects of Virtual Gastric Band Surgery.  You may however add to the positive effects of the suggestion if you ‘take it a little bit easy’ just for the days you are listening to Part 3, the Surgery hypnosis recording.

Q.Just a bit confused about the motivation section, is this extra and do I have to listen to this every day also?

A.  The motivation is an ‘optional extra’ section. . To begin with we recommend that you listen to this audio recording at least once a day for a minimum of 7 days.  After that you can listen as little or as often as choose to.

 Q.  I have noticed Group Posts coming up in my Facebook newsfeed.  Does this mean all my friends can see them?

A. Apparently Facebook have updated the way they display your groups info… anyhow, for those who have been seeing updates, you’re not going mad! In order for the group discussions to not show up in your news feeds, the best thing to do is click on notifications under the apple (on a computer) and select none rather than all. Then if you follow my steps on your news feed you can also do a hide all. To Do this, in your news feed, hover your mouse over the offending post. You’ll see at little down arrow in a box pop up, click that and a dropdown appears with one of the options being “hide” – click that and you will see in the space where the message used to be, a message that says something like “You have successfully hidden the message from (blah blah blah)” and underneath that you’ll see 2 or 3 little links – one will say “hide everything from easyloss” – click this and the posts will be gone from your feed…… I’m afraid there is no way to do this from a mobile device, you’ll need to beg, borrow or steal your way onto a computer to do it.

Q. I am feeling light headed between meals am I eating too little?

A. If you eat when you are hungry then this will not happen. The problem arises if you are not eating when you are hungry. You may be eating too little then feeling hungry very quickly and, because you are stuck in the diet mentality, you are ‘frightened to eat’ again until your next perceived meal time, so wait too long before eating again. 
The most important thing is to make sure they really apply the guidelines and eat when you are hungry until you are no longer hungry and forget about ‘mealtimes’ until things settle down.

If you are still experiencing light headed feelings when you are eating enough then you should seek medical advice as this is probably not connected with your weight loss but could be a medical issue.
