How to use the Easyloss Virtual Gastric Band Hypnosis App

On the Home Hub

Throughout this app you will find ‘?’ icons to assist you with information to get the most out of using this app.

‘Hypnosis’ – Day tile

To begin using the programme all you need to do is tap the ‘Hypnosis’ tile where you will find the 28 day programme.  Tapping the question mark icon button will give you full instructions on how to use the programme. The tile on the home hub will remember which day of the programme you are on, and below the day tile are two tiles showing you how many glasses of water you have drunk that day and what your last meal was.

Use the hypnosis tile on the home hub to take you to the day of the Programme that you are on, and to help you remember where you are in the programme.  By tapping the number of the required day you will be taken to the page for that day where you will find all the information you need to complete that day of the programme.

When you have completed each day tap the ‘return arrow icon’ in the top left hand corner of the screen to take you back to the home hub, where you can select the next day of the programme.

On each day of the programme you will find a useful written ‘Tip of the Day’, as well as additional audio advice, by tapping the play button on the ‘tips’ tile. It is important to listen to these audio tips and follow them each day to assist you in achieving your weight loss goal.

Some days feature an additional Night time version of the hypnosis session. You can chose to use which version you would prefer, but please note it is only necessary to use one hypnosis track per day.

Do not listen to these hypnosis recordings whilst actually exercising, driving or operating machinery.

On Day 1, Day 15, Day 25 and Day 28 there are videos giving further help and advice.  You will need either a Wi-Fi or 3G connection to be able to view the videos.

On every page you will find a ‘food diary and a ‘water diary’.  Use the ‘food diary’ to photograph each and every meal you eat, and the water diary to record with a tick how many glasses of water you have had so far that day.

The last Day on the programme, day 29, the ‘Post Op Session’. You should listen to the Post Op Hypnosis recording every day for the six weeks following your surgery sessions. On the Post Op day you will also find the ‘Post Op Guidelines’ tile.  After you have completed the six weeks of ‘Post Op’ hypnosis sessions it is important to take an ‘after’ photo of yourself to reflect on your progress and congratulate yourself. These photos can be posted on our Facebook support group to inspire others.

‘Guidelines’

On the home hub there are the ‘Guidelines’ for the programme.  It is important for your weight loss success that you follow these guidelines consciously until they become your habit.  Applying these Guidelines is as important as listening to the hypnosis sessions.

‘Water Alert Reminders’ tile

Use the ‘water alerts’ tile feature to remind you to drink enough water every day.

Touch the ‘water alerts’ tile and you will be taken to a screen where you can set the number of alerts you would like throughout your day. Select your start time your finish time and the number of alerts you would like, and then simply tap the ‘set’ icon. For example: You want to start at 8 am (select 08:00).  You want to finish at 10 pm (select 22:00).  You want to drink 8 glasses of water in that time (select 8).  Your app will remind you at 8 regular intervals during your set time to have a drink of water.

‘Add Your Starting Weight’ – Progress Chart tile

Touch the ‘Progress Chart’ tile on the Home Hub to take you to the Progress Chart where you can record your weight loss success in pounds (lbs.).  Touch the question mark icon in the ‘Progress Chart’ tile and you will be able to listen to all the instructions on how to use the Progress Chart.

Use this page to record your weight loss success.  Weigh yourself before you start your first hypnosis session and record your weight in the ‘Starting Weight’ tile.

Each week, weigh yourself again and record the weight in the tile provided.  Your app will calculate your total weight loss for you automatically.

‘Add a Photo of Yourself’ tile

Touch the ‘Add a photo of yourself before you start’ tile in the ‘Me’ section of the Home Hub to take you to your stored photos.  Touch the question mark icon towards the bottom of this tile for more information on using this important feature of the app.

Take a photograph of yourself before you start your weight loss journey using the Easyloss Virtual Gastric Band Surgery Programme and another photograph once you have achieved your target weight.

If you wish to take a new photo then please use the ‘camera’ on your device to take a new photo which you can then access via this tile. If you wish you can plot your weight loss journey using this tile to inspire your progress as you work your way through the programme. Seeing where you have come from in such a short period of time can have a profound effect on your motivation.

‘Motivate Me’ and ‘Relax Me’ tiles

To the right of the day tiles in the ’28 day programme’ you will find the ‘Motivate Me’ and ‘Relax Me’ tiles’ Tap on these to enjoy the benefits of both of these tiles. The ‘Motivate Me’ is a quick hit ‘motivation for exercise’ hypnosis track, and the ‘Relax Me’ is just a bonus track to listen to whenever you wish to completely relax at any time during your weight loss journey or at any time you wish once you have achieved your weight loss goal.

To begin with we recommend that you listen to the ‘Motivate Me’ audio recording at least once a day for a minimum of 7 days.  After that you can listen as little or as often as choose to.

For both tracks, please find a comfortable place to relax. Try to ensure that you will not be disturbed for about 10 to 15 minutes.
